NO METAL HERE

If you have crooked teeth, gapped teeth, overbite, underbite, crowded teeth, crossbite, or had braces and lost or don’t use your retainer, clear aligners might be the answer you have been looking for.

QUICK TREATMENT

Clear aligners offer faster treatment time. Most patients can complete their treatment in 12 to 18 months, although the length of time will vary, depending on each patient’s unique needs.

FLEXIBILITY

Enjoy the foods you love. Simply remove your clear aligners before every meal and enjoy all the healthy foods you love. You should still avoid sticky foods or hard candy as they can affect the health of your teeth.

DISCREET

Clear aligners are completely removable. You can take them out to eat, drink, brush, and floss. This makes treatment more comfortable and convenient.

TREATMENT PLAN

Our dentist will customize your clear aligners treatment plan for you. This customized plan will detail the movements of your teeth from the beginning to the end of the plan.

Northstar Dental will use digital imaging technology to generate a 3D image of your teeth. This imaging technology will capture the exact movements that your teeth will make throughout your treatment. The dentist will use these 3D images to design your treatment plan.

DURATION

You will receive your first set of aligners in about seven to ten days. You must wear them for at least 22 hours a day. Each aligner has to be worn for about two weeks. Then, you will move on to your next aligner in the series. Each aligner will continue to push your teeth into their proper positions.

AFTERCARE

Taking care of your teeth with clear aligners is easier than with traditional braces. However, there are still several things you can do to keep your teeth and aligners clean, including:

  • Remember to brush your teeth after every meal. Since your aligners are removable, there are no restrictions on what you can eat or drink. Simply remove your aligners, clean your teeth, and then place the aligners back.
  • Avoid chewing on hard foods, such as hard candy, ice, and popcorn kernels as they can crack or break your teeth.
  • You can remove the aligners whenever you need to eat or drink, brush and floss, or participate in sports or other activities. Clear aligners can also be removed just for photos or special occasions.
